TPB Philippines Is Preparing For The 2nd Tourism and Technology Forum

The 2nd Tourism and Technology Forum (TTF) will be held on October 7-8 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) with the subject “Securing Tomorrow Today with Digitech” by the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines.

TTF provides a platform for travel and tourism stakeholders, such as hotel and resort properties, government tourism officers, chief information officers, travel agencies, tourism associations, transportation operators, Destination Management Companies (DMCs), and academia, to improve their digital content marketing capabilities and business tools in order to promote and encourage travel in Philippi. Apart from information exchange, smart digital solutions, as well as current advances and best practices in technological innovations, will be presented.

The two-day forum will follow a hybrid structure, with a distinguished panel of industry professionals leading a mix of presentations and open conversations. “New Age of Travel: Overcoming Uncertainties, Accelerating Recovery” by Jan Sodprasert of McKinsey & Company; “5 Traveler Trends in 2022” by Alyosha Robillos, Senior Editor of TripZilla; “E-commerce for Travel and Tourism” by Prep Palacios, Google Philippines’ Head of Industry; and “Riding the Wave of Work from Anywhere” by the Chief Strategy Officer of Bloom & Co.

Meanwhile, the second day of the forum will feature filmmaker and photographer Aaron Palabyab, as well as Bea Lim, TeamAsia’s Chief Storyteller; Jayvee Fernandez, TeamAsia’s Digital Services Director; Marty Buragay, Facebook’s Solutions and Product Marketing Lead; Philip Tnee, Tiktok Philippines, Myanmar, and Singapore Country Manager; Ronster Baetiong, CEO of Podcast Network; and Wandalyn Tan-Cal, TeamAs

The “Industry Responding to the New Era of Travel Uncertainty” discussion will feature Tourism Congress President Jojo Clemente III, PACEOS President Joel Pascual, PHILTOA President Cesar Cruz, and Hotel Sales & Marketing Association International Inc. Chair Margarita Munsayac. The Rise of Influencers will also be discussed by Global Woman Cyprus Director Elisabeth Viliger Toufexis, Blogapalooza CEO Ace Gapuz, and Our Awesome Planet Blogger Anton Diaz.

The first TTF, with the theme “Accelerating Digital Technologies for Sustainable and SmarTourism,” took place on March 17 and 18 at Okada Manila’s Grand Ballroom, with 68 on-site guests and 1127 online delegates.
