UNIQLO and KAWS Introduce New Characters in KAWS UNIVERSE UT Collection

UNIQLO is expanding its collaboration with contemporary artist KAWS through the new KAWS UNIVERSE UT collection, arriving in the Philippines on September 14, 2026.

Built around the message “We are better together,” the collection explores human connection through KAWS’ recognizable COMPANION figure and newly created characters inspired by the Earth, Moon, and Sun.

KAWS Introduces New Characters

Designed around symbols shared by people around the world, the new characters represent hope, warmth, and connection. They appear alongside COMPANION in designs intended to resonate across different cultures, generations, and age groups.

Together, the characters create a playful universe that highlights how people can connect and recognize one another despite their differences.

KAWS shared his excitement about the collaboration, saying the new characters were inspired by universal symbols such as the Earth, Moon, and Sun—things that everyone lives under and shares.

Apparel for Adults and Kids

The KAWS UNIVERSE lineup includes graphic T-shirts and sweatshirts featuring COMPANION and the collection’s new characters. KAWS’ signature “XX” motif also appears throughout the pieces through subtle details and embroidery.

With designs available for adults and children, the collection allows fans of different ages to enjoy the KAWS UNIVERSE together.

First KAWS Collaboration Charms

For the first time in a UNIQLO collaboration with KAWS, the collection will also include plush charms.

Available in three designs, the charms bring the “We are better together” concept beyond clothing and allow fans to carry a piece of the KAWS UNIVERSE wherever they go.
