Crunchyroll Announces New Anime Titles Coming to the Platform
Crunchyroll has announced several anime titles newly set to stream on the platform, with first looks shared as part of its Anime Expo programming.
The lineup includes Goodbye, Lara, I Became a Legend after My 10 Year-Long Last Stand, Overgeared, Sasaki and Peeps Season 2, The Oblivious Saint Can’t Contain Her Power, The Ogre’s Bride, and The Villager of Level 999. The titles cover a range of genres, from fantasy romance and supernatural drama to gaming-inspired adventure.
Goodbye, Lara
Goodbye, Lara follows Lara, a mermaid princess who falls in love with a human prince. Her love is forbidden in the world of mermaids, but Lara chooses to go to the surface anyway. With help from a potion given to her by the witch Grace, she becomes human.
The spell comes with a condition. If Lara fails to find true love, she will turn into foam and disappear into the sea. Her wish is left unfulfilled and Lara vanishes. Two hundred years later, she wakes up in Lake Biwa, where she begins her search for true love once again.

I Became a Legend after My 10 Year-Long Last Stand
Luck is an S-rank mage and a member of the hero’s party. During the fight against the Demon King, he makes a last stand to protect his companions. When he returns after winning the battle, he learns that ten years have passed.
The world now remembers him as a legendary hero who died in combat. Unable to return to his old life, Luck hides his identity and starts over as “Lock,” an F-rank adventurer trying to find his place in a world that has moved on without him.

Overgeared
Overgeared centers on Shin Youngwoo, also known as Grid, an unlucky player in the popular VR game Satisfy. His situation changes when he obtains a powerful item that gives him the rare legendary class title “Pagma’s Successor.”
As a skilled blacksmith, Grid can create unique weapons and use some of the strongest gear in the game. He plans to use his new abilities to gain money and recognition, but his growing presence in Satisfy soon brings problems he did not expect.

Sasaki and Peeps Season 2
Sasaki and Peeps returns for a second season with the story of Sasaki, a middle-aged office worker in Japan. Worn down by corporate life, he visits a pet shop in search of a companion and brings home a small bird named Peeps.
Sasaki soon discovers that Peeps is not an ordinary bird. He is a powerful mage from another world. Together, they become involved in an adventure shaped by magic, swords, and the strange overlap between Sasaki’s everyday life and Peeps’ original world.

The Oblivious Saint Can’t Contain Her Power

Yuzu has spent her life being compared to her sister, who is the bride of a demon fox. Resented by her family and pushed to her limit, she meets a beautiful man on a bridge. He tells Yuzu that she is the bride he has been searching for, pulling her into a new life with a powerful ayakashi.

The Villager of Level 999
The Villager of Level 999 takes place in Hexaldoria, an island country once known as Japan. Monsters did not always exist there, but after they appeared, their numbers quickly grew. Most of the world is now too dangerous for humans to live in.
With the arrival of monsters, people began receiving Classes at birth. Most people live according to those assigned roles. The Villager class is considered the weakest, but Kouji Kagami has reached Level 999, a level no one else has achieved. When he meets the daughter of the Demon King, the world around him begins to change.
