Sam Hammingtons, William Hammingtons, and Bentley Hammingtons met their Filipino fans for the first time on July 17 at “The Hammingtons in Juanderland: Fan Meetup in Manila” at the New Frontier Theater in Manila.

Sam Hammington, an Australian-New Zealander comedian, rose to prominence through the South Korean reality show ‘Real Men’ The Hammington family (Sam and his two children) rose to prominence in 2016 when they appeared on the Return of Superman, a reality show which featured celebrity fathers and their children.

First Segment

The opening segment of the program featured an interview with Sam Appa! Sam stated during the interview that the warm nature of Filipino fans was one of the reasons he chose to visit Manila.

He continued, “We thank you all, and we couldn’t accomplish what we do without you. This is our chance to personally thank you, and we aim to meet as many of our fans as possible.

William’s ideal career in their new variety show, “Hammingtons’ Dream Closet,” is to become a model, while Bentley’s is to become a zoo keeper! The trio performed “Newspaper Dance,” where they had to dance around a newspaper while keeping their feet off the ground.

The next game is “Air Hockey,” in which two opposing players utilize two hand-held discs and a lightweight plastic puck to attempt to score goals. And two lucky fans were invited to play with William and Bentley!

Second Segment

After a brief intermission, the Hammington returned, donning authentic Filipino attire! In addition, they sampled Filipino foods like orange juice, banana cue, champorado, adobo, and Lechon. William enjoyed the banana cue, orange juice, and adobo the most, whilst Sam fell in love with and could not get enough of the Lechon!

Sam stated in the section ‘Tuklasin’ that when he returns to the Philippines with his family, he wants to visit Boracay, Cebu, and Palawan.

Send-Off

Before departing the stage, Sam appreciates the fans’ attendance and support at their first-ever fan meeting in Manila. When asked how the fan meetup went today, he responded, “I am overwhelmed.” It means so much to me, and I’ll never forget this day. And hopefully, we’ll get the opportunity to do it again in the future.

In addition, the family requests that the gifts be donated to charity instead. They joined Good Neighbors Philippines, a humanitarian NGO that assists disadvantaged children from kindergarten to grade 12 with their education.

Hammingtons, we would love to see you again soon! #TheHammingtonsinJuanderlandPH
