5 Underrated Green Flags from Kim Seon Ho’s Character at Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha

As Filipino Seonhohadas prepare for Kim Seon Ho’s return in Manila for his Color+Full Asia Tour with UFC Mixes, we reminisce about the last time he brought joy to our hearts by looking out for underrated green flags of his character Hong Du-Sik or ‘Chief Hong’ from k-drama series Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha.

Their little peaceful town is mostly inhabited by the elderly, where Du-Sik performs many roles to guide and help the residents. This makes Du-Sik an “all-rounder town hero,” and if that alone is not a green flag, then we don’t know what is.

He values living a simple life

Chief Hong recognizes the riches of living a simple life. Unlike many else, he believes that money and success aren’t the only things that can keep a person happy. Instead, he builds his happiness by serving others and helping them with their needs.

He has a nice home

You can see a person’s true nature by looking at their home from the inside. Their furniture choice, their house’s cleanliness, or their interior design can be indicators of how they live in their comfort space. Chief Hong has an organized home, a huge bookshelf, and a designated area for his hobbies, which shows that he cherishes his passions and possessions.

The mere fact of him being helpful to those in need is already a huge green flag, what more if he goes (or swims) the extra mile just to give you what you need and want? One of the many romantic scenes from the series is when Du-Sik brought Hye-Jin’s shoe back when it was washed by the sea, and this simple act makes him a true gentleman.

Truly, all of Du-Sik’s inner traits from this list equate to him being a civilized and well-mannered person, but if there’s another trait that makes him more lovable is that it’s because of his charming looks and cute dimples! This makes him an absolute sweetheart, proving to viewers that he’s an ultimate green flag and boyfriend material. Kim Seon Ho perfectly portrayed his role as Du-Sik as he easily played the character due to their many similarities.
