GOT7’s JAY B Turns His Solo Concert In Manila Into A Party

Dressed in an all-black outfit. GOT7’s leader and multitalented solo artist JAY B turned his solo concert into a party for his Filipino fans.
JAY B of the Korean boyband GOT7 went all out for his first-ever solo concert in Manila, transforming a sea of ahgabongs lightstick-waving fans into one big party scene.
Presented by PULP Live world, an event organizer. As part of Jay B’s ongoing world tour titled ‘Tape: Press Pause,’ he held his first-ever solo concert in the Philippines, which marked the very first stop of his Asian tour. Furthermore, he is the fifth member of GOT7 to visit the country this year for a K-pop concert.

The venue was moved to the New Frontier Theater days before the show to conduct more fan activities and provide fans with a better experience with Jay B, including a goodbye session.
As the performance began, the venue was filled with screams as the ahgases waited for Jay B to take the stage. Green lights illuminated the venue as fans turned on, waving their ahgabongs with smiles on their faces.
“I am so thankful for the people in the front row, second floor, and back. I’m actually very happy that Manila is the first stop of my world tour,” Jay B said. He also stated that this is his first solo visit to the country since GOT7’s 2019 KEEP SPINNING tour.
The venue’s atmosphere shifted as he performed “Dive Into You” and “Count On Me” with soulful vocals. He then demonstrated how well his voice fits performing R&B songs with his rendition of GOT7’s “Sunrise,”.
“Your reactions are really nice,” Jay B remarked as he surveyed the audience, brimming with delight. Next, Jay B joyfully dominated the stage with different renditions of “B.T.W” and “Fame”.
Besides delivering engaging performances, he interacted closely with his audience. A fan suggested “Sinigang” when he requested food recommendations. He also learned Filipino words and phrases such as “Ang pogi ko”, “Mahal ko kayo”, “Pasensya,” “Shot Puno”, Salamat, and”Ang ganda niyo.”

During his talk segment, Jay B revealed that he had just landed in Manila after a 17-hour flight from Paris for Fashion Week, stating, “I was a little concerned about how I would perform today.” However, the amount of applause Jay B received during the performance allowed him to succeed.
Jay B then surprised the audience by inviting James Reid, a Filipino singer. They performed the “Hello 2.0 (Legends Only)” stage together. He revealed that they had only met for the first time that day during a brief conversation on stage.
He added, “When I first heard this song, I thought I could do well on this song, so I tried my best”, Jay B added. James Reid performed his most recent single, “U & I,” while Jay B prepared his next set of backstage songs.
GOT 7’s leader JAY B revealed his true feelings by stating that his journey had not been easy. “As I age, I’ve realized that numerous obstacles are becoming apparent. Since you, my fans, may also encounter these difficulties, I want to create music that comforts you, “he said. Then he performed his soothing tracks, including “Rocking chair, “LIVIN,” and “Fountain of youth”.
Jay B’s performance of “Go Up,” the title track from his recently released album ‘Be Yourself,’ was groovy and funky. The singer continued to set the tone by singing the album’s upbeat B-side track, “The Way We Are.”
He also did an exceptional performance of some GOT7 songs, including “GO UP,” “Page,” “Teenager,” “Breath,” “Thursday,” and “Nanana.” The audience even sang along with him while waving ahgabongs.
“Because of you guys I try my best,” the GOT7 leader said.
It’s difficult to lead a group, especially after leaving their previous employer and attempting to maintain cohesiveness. With JAY B’s commitment, he demonstrated that artists from different agencies could continue making the music they love together.
The audience honoured JAY B’s efforts by surprising him with a video message. They sang adorably, “Best leader!” He said, “Actually I was very pressured with the title of leader. But because of you guys, I was able to be the best leader I’ll continue to do my best.” JAY B added,
“I think I can finish the rest of my tour because of the warm cheers I got from the Philippines,” he said.
Before wrapping up the night, JAY B performed “Go Higher” which brought the crowd to be hyped to its maximum level and marked the end of his solo concert.
The entire concert felt like a party you didn’t want to end, as JAY B created one of the best concert and memorable party for all FILO Ahgases.
