IZNA Announces June Comeback with New EP Set the Tempo
Nearly eight months after their last studio effort, IZNA is ready to make some noise again.
The K-pop girl group officially confirmed their return, announcing that their third extended play, Set the Tempo, will arrive on June 8. Preorders went live earlier this week, and the release will be available across major streaming platforms at 6 p.m. that day.
The announcement came alongside a title poster that leans into a cosmic aesthetic — deep purples and pinks swirled against a space-like backdrop, with fluid streaks of light cutting through the composition. It is the kind of visual that signals a shift in direction rather than a continuation of what came before.
That shift appears intentional. Where their second EP, Not Just Pretty (released last September), took aim at redefining conventional standards of beauty, Set the Tempo seems to be asking a different question entirely: whose rhythm are you moving to? The project is framed around the idea of IZNA charting its own course, stepping away from external expectations and finding a pace that belongs entirely to them.
For a group that was born from global participation, that kind of artistic declaration carries weight. IZNA emerged from Mnet’s survival competition series I-Land 2, supported by fans across 217 countries and regions before making their official debut on November 25, 2024. In the months since, they have kept an active presence — appearing on television programs, lending their voices to webtoon soundtracks, hosting music shows, and securing beauty brand partnerships.
Set the Tempo will be their first full project since that period of building, and if the concept imagery is any indication, the group is stepping into it with something to say.
