Japanese Actor Kentaro Sakaguchi Returns to the Philippines for Fan Meet
Filipino fans of Kentaro Sakaguchi can finally look forward to meeting the Japanese actor in person. He’s set to visit Manila for the Kentaro Sakaguchi Asia Tour Fan Meeting 2025, happening on May 17 at the SM Skydome.
Sakaguchi started his career as a model before moving into acting. He gained attention through his roles in Heroine Shikkaku and Ore Monogatari!! in 2015, which led to a Best New Actor award at the 11th Osaka Cinema Festival. He followed this with performances in 64: Parts 1 and 2 (2016), earning Newcomer of the Year at the 40th Japan Academy Film Prize.

Since then, he’s taken on a range of roles in films like The 100th Love with You (2017), We Made a Beautiful Bouquet (2021) and the drama Signal (2018). His acting style is often subtle and grounded, which has helped him build a loyal following.
In 2022, he starred in The Last 10 Years, a drama that highlighted his emotional depth. He also made his Korean drama debut in 2024 with What Comes After Love, where he played Jungo Aoki, a Japanese man navigating a cross-cultural relationship. His performance earned him both the Best Actor Award and Asia Star Award at the 2024 Asia Artist Awards.
Fans in the Philippines may also remember his appearance at the 2023 AAA in Bulacan where he received the Best Artist Award (Actor) and the Asia Celebrity Award. This year, he’s returning for a fan meeting that offers a closer experience.
The event will feature perks like photo ops, hi-bye sessions, signed posters and exclusive photocards.
