OVERPASS: K-Pop Music Concerts delivers a night of great performances featuring today’s best of K-Pop – EXO’s Baekhyun, Jeon Somi, and B.I.!
OVERPASS brings together EXO-Ls, Sommungchis, and I.D.s on June 11 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum for the ultimate fan gathering celebrating the excellence of K-Pop music in the R&B, Pop, Soul, and Hip-Hop genres.
Here are a few activities not to be missed at OVERPASS:
1. Baekhyun’s much-awaited return
Phixos undoubtedly missed seeing the one and only Byun Baekhyun after being officially discharged from his two-year military service in February. Following the release of his album “Bambi” in March 2021, the lead vocalist of EXO is currently irrepressible, as he has been performing at global festivals since his return.
Imagine Filo EXO-Ls singing to “Betcha” and “Candy” as they reunite with their adored Kyoong!
Baekhyun, a multitalented performer, is one of the most active K-Pop artists. In addition to EXO and its sub-units, he has participated in other acts, such as joining the supergroup SuperM, making his acting debut in “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo,” and achieving enormous success as a solo artist.
In truth, Baekhyun is the first artist since 2001 to sell a million copies of his E.P. “Delight,” he subsequently sold a million copies of “Bambi.” Baekhyun also holds the record for the “Best Male Artist” trophy, winning three years at South Korea’s prestigious Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA).
2. This is Jeon Somi’s first trip to the Philippines.
Jeon Somi, best known for her viral hits “DUMB DUMB” and “Birthday,” will finally visit the Philippines! OVERPASS signifies the soloist’s first visit to the country, and Filo Sommungchis are in for a treat as their desire to see Somi perform live will eventually be fulfilled.
Her hit songs “What You Waiting For,” “XOXO,” and “DUMB DUMB” was recently featured in the new rom-com series “XO, Kitty” on Netflix, which is presently one of the most-watched shows on the streaming giant.
3. B.I.’s unending admiration and affection for P.H. I.D.s
Indeed, Kim Hanbin (stage name: B.I.) is infatuated with his Filo I.Ds. The rapper-producer has visited the Philippines twice in less than a year, first for a fan meeting in August 2022 and then for a solo concert in March 2023. This will be the third individual visit by the artist to the Philippines.
On June 1, the solo hip-hop artist will return with the publication of his second studio album, “To Die For.” B. I have been performing the title track, “Dare to Love”, at various festivals before its official release, and who knows, perhaps the audience of OVERPASS will be among the first to hear the new songs performed live!
Overpass: K-Pop Music Concert tickets are available nationwide at TicketNet outlets and at www.ticketnet.com.ph.
Each section’s ticket bearer will receive various fan benefits, including souvenir cards, posters, lanyards, and even a chance to receive a free album from the artists!
Gear up and prepare to ride the K-pop surge at OVERPASS! See you there!
