Save the date, as OctoArts Entertainment will bring a lineup of top-tier K-pop acts. THE SUPER STAGE FOR K-POP IN MANILA! On August 11, 2023, the Mall of Asia Arena will host the highly anticipated K-pop event featuring an all-female ensemble of K-POP groups MAMAMOO+, KEP1ER, and LAPILLUS.

Super Stage by K-pop Lineup

MAMAMOO+

Featuring Solar (MAMAMOO’s leader and main vocalist) and Moonbyul (MAMAMOO’s main rapper), MAMAMOO+ is the group’s first sub-unit. The dynamic duo’s first single, “Better,” featured South Korean rapper Big Naughty and was released in 2022. MAMAMOO+ returned in March with their first single album, Act 1, Scene 1, with the song “GGBB” as the album’s title track. Over 100,000 copies of the album had been sold by Circle Chart’s count. The debut performance of the group’s sub-unit in the country will be one that the Moomoos want to attend.

Kep1er

Get ready for the “First Impact” of the international female group KEP1ER, who will be making their Manila debut. The group consists of nine members. Kep1er was created on Mnet’s reality survival show Girls Planet 999, which scoured China, Japan, and South Korea for the best female trainees to form a new girl group. On January 3, 2022, the band released their first mini album, First Impact. The lead single, “Wa Da Da”, entered the Billboard Hot 100 at position #84 in its first week of availability.

Kep, meaning “to catch,” and “one,” representing the nine girls working together as “one,” inspired the group’s name. The planet Kepler, after the German astronomer who gave it its name, is also mentioned. They have a specific contract that will keep them busy for around 2.5 years until June 2024.

LAPILLUS

Get ready to shine brightly because LAPILLUS is returning to Manila for the first time. Chanty is Filipino-Argentinean, Shana is Japanese, Yue is Chinese-American, Bessie, Seowon, and Haeun are Korean, and together they comprise the six-member girl group LAPILLUS. Having been named ambassadors of the Philippine province of Ilocos Sur, the K-pop trio has strong ties to that country. First published in September 2012, “GIRL’s ROUND Part. 1” featured five songs straddling the pop and dance genres.
