Tourism Secretary Berna Romulo-Puyat said today that the designation of Philippine hotels and localities by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Tourism Standards Awards in 2022 reflects the industry’s determination to maintain the highest standards of tourism despite the epidemic.
This recognition of our local cities, hotels, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibition) venues reflects the Philippines’ commitment to upholding the highest tourism standards and the strong Bayanihan spirit we have shown in overcoming the crisis.

Baguio, the country’s summer capital, and Ilagan, Isabela, are among the ASEAN clean tourism cities for 2022. The ASEAN Green Hotel Award for 2022 also named Nobu Hotel, Nuwa Hotel, Hyatt Regency, and Conrad Manila among the best

Similarly, the Forbes Ballroom at Conrad Manila was named one of the top five ASEAN MICE Venue Award winners in the meeting room category.
The Quest Plus Conference Center is a great place to hold a meeting. The William Cameron Forbes Ballroom at the Baguio Country Club and Clark’s Magellan Ballroom were among the top five MICE award winners.

Astoria Palawan’s Mangrove Conference and Convention Center and Widus (Clark Marriott Hotel) Marriott Grand Ballroom rounded out the list of national awardees for ASEAN MICE Venue Awards in the meeting room category.
