Highlights of 2022 K-Pop Masterz in Manila: TREASURE, GOT7’s Jackson Wang and BamBam With Special Guest Dara

The long-awaited 2022 Kpop Masterz concert in Manila, for which TREASURE Makers and AHGASE had waited, finally took place on July 29, 2022. It began at 6 PM (Philippine Time) at SM MOA Arena and lasted 3 hours, organized by PULP Live World. The show’s main acts were the Korean boyband TREASURE and the two members of GOT7, Bambam and Jackson Wang.

TREASURE

TREASURE opened the concert with a performance of ‘JIKJIN,’ the title track from their most recent mini-album ‘THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE,’ which came out in February of this year, and ‘I LOVE YOU,” track that captured the hearts of the crowd.

After the two amazing performances, TREASURE introduced themselves one by one. Filo Teumes and Ahgases also sang a birthday song to Jaejyuk who just turned 22 last July 23. A series of games called “TREASURE MATCH” shows how competitive they can be. Haruto, Jeongwoo, Jaehyuk, and Yoshi form the “Gwapo” team, which Hyunsuk’s team, “Mahal Kita” faces off against in a friendly match.

After the segment, TREASURE continued to captivate a sea of fans with their performance of ‘MY TREASURE.’ The show went to a new level when Jihoon sang the song’s climactic high note. The audience also had a photo op with both groups after playing games like “One Body, One Soul,” “Ddakji,” and “Matching the Pose of Each Member to a Given Word (Selca, Ballet, Gyomi, Sexy) “.

At the end of their performance, they played their first single, ‘BOY,’ and a remix of their catchy B-side song, ‘DARARI,‘ and the audience got hyped with the song’s catchy beat drops.

GOT7’s BAMBAM

BamBam took the stage and blew everyone away with his back-to-back performances of ‘Wheels Up’, ‘Ride or Die’,” and ‘Looks So Fine.’ It’s been four years since their “Keep Spinning World Tour,” and BamBam couldn’t be happier to be back in Manila.

During the segment, BamBam stated that he’d like to check out the Manila Night Market. He revealed that Bangus, or milkfish, is the best fish he has ever tasted, and shared that Bangus is his current nickname right now. even though his favourite nickname is “Baby BamBam“.

He also took part in a “Yes or No” game where he was asked what he would do if he won the lottery. BamBam plans to use the money instead to build a night market called “BamBam Shot Puno.“

BamBam also knows how to say “I Love You” in six other languages: Korean, Japanese, Chinese, English, Thai, and Tagalog. Aside from that, he mentioned that the air conditioner is his favourite home appliance.

BamBam surprised the crowd by singing a Filipino song called ‘Ngiti‘.

Just as BamBam was about to pass the stage to Jackson Wang, he called on a very special guest that many Filipino fans knew. The crowd was unaware that BamBam had a surprise for them, Sandara Park ( a member of 2NE1) who had flown out to the Philippines to watch the show and support them. Dara was asked to sing on stage, and she performed “I DON’T CARE” in an acoustic version.

Together with Dara, BamBam ended his performance with his debut title track, ‘riBBon‘ in a fun and lively way.

GOT7’s Jackson Wang

GOT7’s Jackson Wang and his crew took the stage and performed his new singles ‘Cruel‘ and ‘Blow,‘ both from his upcoming album “MAGIC MAN,” which is set to come out on September 9.

He says that the Filipino fans’ cheers are loud and passionate. When the crowd cheers, you know it’s genuine. When asked what the essential aspect of producing his music is, Jackson says, “For me, it’s like finding your own route, ’cause everybody is different.” 

Jackson also revealed that he is doing acting workshops and is now prepared to act in addition to directing various video projects. He concluded the evening by performing ‘100 WAYS‘ and removing his jacket, causing all the Ahgases and Teumes to go wild in MOA Arena.

The 2022 K-Pop Masterz In Manila marks the beginning of PULP Live World’s series of K-Pop concerts in 2022, featuring the biggest stars such as Super Junior, GOT7’s Yugyeom, TXT and many more.
