Japanese restaurants are starting to take off in the Philippines and they’re starting to become a hit among Filipinos and Overseas Filipino Workers who have been to Japan. Japans’ Ramen Keisuke is now in Manila and this is starting to create a buzz among the Filipino foodie community.
Keisuke Takeda, founder of Ramen Keisuke, is born in 1969 in Hiroshima. Fond of cooking as a child, he started his career as a chef with a French restaurant in 2005, Ramen has much more free space to be innovative and creative compared to other cuisines thus he came up with different approaches to create recipes for ramen that nobody else has tried before.
With branches all over Japan and Singapore, Ramen Keisuke will open its first branch in Manila. The franchisee who was able to bring to Manila was based in Singapore for 8 years, and Ramen Keisuke was their comfort food. They moved back to the Philippines where there craving for Ramen Keisuke eventually caught up with them that they decided to bring the famous Ramen restaurant to Manila. Luckily for buzzsetter, we had first dibs on what this Ramen place has to offer.

The Black Spicy Tori King Ramen sounds like it a real spicy dish but it’s not. It just has a small spice that brings a small kick to your taste buds. The chicken mixed with black peppercorn and sesame oil make is the best combo. You can eat this even if you’re not really into spicy dishes A must-try! Rate: 10/10
A lighter meal but still delicious with chicken mixed with special noodles! Rate 9/10
This is another dish that we couldn’t resist especially during cold weather. It’s probably another great dish to warm up to. Chicken is just as tender as the egg. Rate; 9/10

The chicken Karaage is simply absolutely delicious! Just dip it into the sauce and be amazed!
You can’t forget the Pork Gyoza! These need to be combined with your hot ramen!
The restaurant is perfect for dates, friends and family reunion. However, the restaurant does not have delivery or even allow take out since they want to preserve the taste and authenticity of their famous ramen dishes. Just simply dine-in and try it out. You will definitely come back for more!
