Delicious Baked Sushi From J&J Kitchenette

Baked sushi is becoming quite a fad, especially in Manila with foodies clamoring left and right for the best-baked sushi in Manila. Home-based cooking aficionados are even trying to make their own version of Baked sushi. We found this great home-based baked sushi based in Tagaytay called J&J Kitchenette and they’re starting to create waves in the foodie world.

The latest food trends have been dalgona coffee, ube pandeseal and baked sushi. Sushi bake is basically a deconstructed sushi roll that’s baked like a casserole.

J&J Kitchenette is no ordinary home-based restaurant but is actually owned by Chef Janella Montealegre who is also a “Sushi Chef” by trade so we got a hint that these “Sushi Baked” or “Baked Sushi” is bound to taste delicious.

We got two versions of the baked sushi; regular size and family size.

  • 1 Family-Sized Baked Sushi: 9 x 12 x 3
  • 1 Regular-Sized Baked Sushi: 7½ x 3

It’s so addictive!

This baked sushi is covered with cucumber, mango and kani/crabsticks. Even if you’re allergic to crabs, you can request to have them removed.

How to eat it? Simply take a scoop of baked sushi, and put it on the nori/seaweed and voila!

1 Family-Sized Baked Sushi which comes in two flavors (Cheesy & Spicy California with FREE 3 Packs of Nori/Seaweed snack): It was hard for us to choose which was better but spicy California gave us quite a kick! Rate: 10/10

1 Regular-Sized Baked Sushi (Mild Spicy with 1 Pack of Nori/Seaweed snack): This has to be favorite! Not only was it delicious but we wanted more! Rate: 10/10

HOW TO ORDER:

Cut off of orders is every Tuesday 12PM and Friday 12PM

J&J is currently based in Tagaytay but they also deliver every Wednesday and Saturday outside of Tagaytay. Pick up is done by the customer via Lalamove/Angkas Padala

If it’s too far, not to worry! J&J Kitchenette is currently making waves and they have active resellers in many places. Resellers are currently in Paco Manila, Salitran Dasmariñas, San Marino Dasmariñas, Silang Cavite, Mendez Tagaytay, and Magallanes Tagaytay!
