BillEase, the flexible and transparent alternative to credit cards and e-wallets, announced today its partnership with Shopify, the leading global commerce business, and the launch of its first-ever Shopify payment app, which allows retailers to add BillEase to their checkout with just one click.

Online retailers can now provide BillEase’s suite of buy now, pay later (BNPL) alternatives, such as Pay Later in 10 to 30 days, Pay in 4 installments, and Pay Monthly, interest-free or interest-bearing, using BillEase’s payment app. Shopify merchants can now accept BillEase payments and enable a calculator widget on their storefront that shows customers the true price of a transaction if paid in installments.

With its zero-interest payment plans, BillEase, which has been downloaded over 1 million times by Filipino buyers, hopes to assist Filipino shops in increasing conversion rates and client loyalty. Many Shopify merchants, for example, are now adopting the company’s Pay in 4 installment product, which allows customers to pay only 1/4 up front and the remainder in three installments every two weeks, with no interest! The payment product accepts transactions with sums ranging from PHP 1,000 to PHP 20,000. This helps a retailer to enhance client loyalty while also increasing consumer spending power, resulting in higher conversion rates and order values.

“We are excited to partner with Shopify and offer this faster integration as we are always looking for ways to improve not only the shopping experience but also the user experience for our Shopify merchants,” said Georg Steiger, CEO and Co-Founder of First Digital Finance Corporation (FDFC), which operates the BNPL app. “Any merchant can now effortlessly integrate our cardless BNPL solution at their checkout to increase conversion rates.”

BillEase works with over 500+ online and offline merchants, including Philippine Airlines, Samsung, Vivo, Mandaue Foam, Anson’s, Western Appliances, Kimstore, JBL, Havaianas, Aura Athletica, Hedgren, DC Shoes, Res|Toe|Run, QuickSilver, TUMI, Bratpack, and KitchenAid, to name a few. Major payment gateways such as 2C2P, Xendit, Paynamics, Dragonpay, and Bux also offer BillEase.

The new company obtained Series B funding in January 2022, which it would use to expand and enhance its products, quadruple its engineering staff, and add top talent, demonstrating the country’s continuous expansion of its BNPL offering.
