Acronis Secures Partnership With ePLDT
With the ongoing global epidemic of COVID-19, it has become critical for businesses to implement Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans to ensure that operations continue in these unpredictable times.
As a result of its strategic alliance with Acronis, ePLDT – PLDT Enterprise’s ICT arm – has enhanced its portfolio to serve to enterprises. Acronis is a global leader in cyber security, with award-winning AI-based Active Protection technology, blockchain-based authentication, and a unique hybrid-cloud architecture that protects all data in any environment – including physical, virtual, cloud, mobile workloads, and applications – at a low and predictable cost. Following the marketing and technology collaboration, both firms have expanded their portfolios and footprints.
According to the newly issued Acronis Cyber Readiness Report 2020, 92% of worldwide firms have used new technology to enable remote work. According to the same study, half of all worldwide organizations have experienced cyberattacks at least once a week in the last six months. Fake websites, phishing attacks, malware, and other cybercrimes are making it vital for businesses to ensure that they are prepared for this new way of working and that they are able to respond to interruptions ranging from minor annoyances to major disasters.
Through the cooperation, ePLDT will be able to offer solutions based on the Acronis Cyber Cloud, a platform that allows service providers to deliver data protection in a simple, efficient, and secure manner. Customers may get access to hybrid cloud backup, recovery, and AI-powered anti-malware from a single, complete interface with a solution like Data Back-up and Recovery Solution.
The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between ePLDT and Acronis recently cemented their relationship, with the new products due to be released shortly after.
