Marking yet another core memory to be cherished—fan meet-goers started to gather at the gates of the Araneta Coliseum. The big dome instantly filled up with excited fans. Lots of fun surprises also await everyone as message boards stationed at entrances wherein everyone is free to write a wish to Wookie.

Moreover, a photo OP with Chang Wook’s standee is also a hit for the fans. They pose with a standee with just the perfect lighting and background.

Core Moments with Wookie

Just the perfect moment to start the night is when Ji Chang Wook opens the show with a head-turning performance of “Kissing You” — a song from the drama “7 First Kisses”. The cheers for Wookie grew louder as he shared his sentiment for returning to the Philippines for the second time.

“After such a long time I was able to come back here to the Philippines and meet my Filipino fans as well, thank you so much for warmly welcoming me,” Chang Wook said.

Following the warm welcome of the crowd to Wookie, fun-filled segments started to roll out. The first segment is called “The Healer” where lucky fans get the chance to get heartfelt advice from Chang Wook. It was an intimate yet fun start for the evening as Wookie gets the chance to share his wisdom—we can see aside from his unmatched visuals he is eloquent and smart.

The “Welcome to the Philippines” segment comes next where all ticket tiers get the chance to complete a heart pose with Chang Wook. Further, this segment is named after his hit K-drama “Welcome to Samdal-ri”. The camera pans to a section of the audience where they pose on screen with Wookie—after capturing just the perfect moment Wookie gets to say a Filipino phrase like “Gusto Kita”, “Ang Sweet Mo”, and the iconic “Mahal Kita”.

Dreams do come true and wishes too as Wookie gets to grant the wishes for some of the lucky bunch! The segment called “If You Wish Upon Me” was dubbed from his drama series—fans get to get a staring contest, a selfie, a birthday greeting, and a lovely message for their moms from Wookie. It was a very wholesome and special moment for everyone as he made all their wishes come to life.

Finally, the segment “Rookie Vs. Pro” garnered the most cheers as fans got to act alongside Chang Wook. The segment was inspired by the hit drama “Backstreet Rookie”. Certain scenes from his hit dramas are re-enacted—more than that are the swoon-worthy scenes, talking about something ‘K-lig’ worthy. Who would not enjoy getting a hug or sharing a Dalgona cookie with Chang Wook? Truly a once in a lifetime experience.

The night ended with Chang Wook serenading the crowd with “Watch Over You” an OST for “The Healer”.
