“Day Off” is a piece of art that, as its name suggests, reminds people of the idea of resting or taking a break. Revo Yanson said, “The exhibit shows that it’s in our nature to look for simple joys beyond the world’s attractions.”

“For me, looking at the art of our dear artists brought back an old feeling of peace. In his welcome speech, Sherwin Lucas, the General Manager of Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod, said, “Let’s go back in time to a time when fun meant taking a walk in the park and talking to friends and family face-to-face. Let’s go back to a time when nature was our playground.”

The new show has 19 masterpieces, each of which was made with great care by an artist. Revo Yanson used pen and ink on Vellum board to make his pieces for this show, and Ryn Paul Gonzaga used a sugarcane knife with oil paints, etching, and metal inlays to make his.

Ryn Paul Gonzales said, “I chose to work on the sugar cane knives and included symbols like the Carabao that show how hard we have to work to survive.”

Sherwin Lucas, the general manager of Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod, and Archie Javellana, the front office manager, helped the featured artists cut the ribbon. Local media, a few corporate guests, SM affiliates, and Negrense art stars were there for the private launch.

The public can see the show, which will be up until October 8, 2022. Guests can ask about sales and buy art at the hotel front desk or by calling +63 34 706 8888.
