We need to get out of the city and to the nearby beach, particularly away from Manila’s rush and bustle. We went to Batangas and stayed at the PICO SANDS HOTEL for a short staycation. It’s the ideal weekend retreat from Manila, as it’s only a two-hour journey depending on traffic. We took advantage of the hotel’s current Break Free offer.

Picnic at Santelmo Cove

SANTELMO COVE BREAK FREE GETAWAY

  • Accommodation at the Lagoon View Rooms for two (2) nights and three (3) days.
  • Full-course meals, such as breakfast in the garden, private beach dining, a picnic at Santelmo Cove, and dinner under the stars
  • Cocktail cruise at sunset
  • Choose from a variety of sports and recreational activities
  • Your itinerary will be planned by a dedicated Events Specialist.

We strongly advise you to use the Cavitex route rather than the Tagaytay way because it is much faster. The hotel’s top goal is the protection and security of its guests, which is why it’s just around a five-minute drive from the gate to the hotel. To prevent germs from entering the hotel, a temperature check, the application of alcohol, and the wiping of shoes are performed before you enter.

Guests will notice the Pico Sands Restaurant, Pico Sands Bar, and the Rain Spa once they arrive at the front desk. On the 6th level, we had the Corner Deluxe Lagoon View. The room is absolutely ideal! We had a stunning view of the Lagoon, which provided the perfect backdrop for the sunset. The entire room is surrounded by a balcony. The room includes a bed, a refrigerator (stocked with drinks and chocolates), water, a snack, a closet, an iron, an ironing board, a slipper, a laundry bag, shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, and toothpaste. Along with their services, you’ll get a TV with your name on it.

  • Picnic lunch in the secluded and scenic Santelmo Cove: Guests will board the yacht and have lunch on the private island of Santelmo. The view from the top of the Cove, with its white beach, is simply breathtaking!

DAY THREE

  • A three-mile trek to Papaya Cove’s Marina: A walk to the marina in the early morning. It’s a long trek, but it’s well worth it just to see the sunrise. The best time to go for a walk is at 5:30 a.m. to catch the dawn at 6 a.m.
  • Another breakfast at the Lagoon Dome, this time at the Spanish Steps. The vista is equally beautiful during the day and at night.
  • Water Sports: This was not on our original itinerary, but we decided to include it because we couldn’t leave without doing some water sports! We went snorkeling and spotted the fish below the water’s surface. Because the fish are protected by the WWF, this was incredible. In addition, we did jet skiing, banana boating, kayaking, and paddle boating.

Our overall experience can be summed up in an one word: AMAZING. We have privacy, quite time and best part of all the staff were great photographers and love to share a conversation with you if you’re a talker.! Get the BREAK FREE PACKAGE while it still lasts!
