Emo Superstars Silverstein headed to Manila This October

As Filipino fans have repeatedly demonstrated, attending a concert is more than just about the music; it’s an experience. Joining friends & like-minded souls, jumping up & down in the pit, & singing loudly along with each live anthem makes each show memorable and unique.

Fans of millennium post-hardcore will be ecstatic and beaming in their sleep as they count the days until Silverstein’s long-awaited return to the United States in the fourth quarter of 2023, as PULP LIVE WORLD has just made the announcement.

That’s right, vocalist Shane Told, guitarists Josh Bradford & Paul Marc Pousseau, bassist Billy Hamilton, & drummer Paul Koehler are bringing their A-game as always and have their decade-spanning hits in tow for their devoted Filipino fanbase to go crazy on October 31, 2023, at the Skydome at SM North Edsa. The performance promises to be the noisiest and most exciting Halloween event and will once again demonstrate that the nation has earned the title of “emo capital of southeast Asia.”

Silverstein, formed in 2000 in Burlington, Ontario, is arguably one of the most successful and technically consistent bands ever to champion the genre, which is filled with stadium-sized choruses, chugging riffs, and trademark screamo dynamics. Having sold over a million albums and released an astounding 11 studio albums, their most notable singles include “Smashed Into Pieces,” “Discovering The Waterfront,””Smile In Your Sleep.”

The band has always had a close relationship with their Filipino fanbase. Their performance in the country this 2023 is a full-circle moment, as they celebrated their 20th anniversary at the same venue last January 2020. Additionally, the performance was produced by PULP Live World, so diehards will be eager to consider this a reunion. The singing will be noisier, and the party will be even more rowdy.
