From September 20 To 27, The MANILA HOTEL Will Participate In Manila Restaurant Week

Two of life’s simplest joys are wonderful food and terrific company. So mark your calendars and prepare to feast on delectable cuisine as The Manila Hotel’s renowned Café Ilang Ilang takes part in Manila Restaurant Week from September 20 to 27, 2020.

Choose from savory Spinach-Ricotta Ravioli in light Parmesan Cream Sauce or Pomelo-Prawns Lumpia in Calamansi Honey Dressing as a starter; a main course of sumptuous Beef Tenderloin in Balsamic Glaze with marble potato and market vegetables or Pampano cooked in Tandoori Oven with Peas Pilaf rice and stir-fried Asian vegetables; and a dessert of Fresh Fruits Salad The starter-main-dessert set is only P980 nett per person, and it cannot be combined with any other promotions or discounts.

Manila Restaurant Week is part of the Bureau of Permits and the City Government of Manila’s “Manila, Support Local” campaign. The city-wide initiative attempts to promote Manila’s local food establishments that have been impacted by the COVID-19 problem. During Manila Restaurant Week, over 80 restaurants will serve prix fixe dinners at reasonable pricing.

The Manila Hotel was one of the hosts of the multi-venue simultaneous kick-off, which was livestreamed on social media platforms, which began on September 15. Bayleaf Hotel, Lucky China Town Mall, and Robinsons Place Ermita were the other hosts. The campaign’s virtual premiere was celebrated by an online performance by Lea Salonga, who sung her new single “Dream Again,” which serves as the campaign’s official theme song.

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Vice Mayor Honey Lacua gave speeches before touring the 11 restaurants that showcased their dishes at The Manila Hotel’s Roma Salon—Café Ilang Ilang, Century Park Hotel, Scorched, Golden Fortune, Luneta Park Hotel, Ilustrado, Tanabe, Jus & Jerrys, Patio de Conchita, Pares Kimchi, and Harbor View—and the other venues, which were all watched by the crowd.
