b.i the last parade in manila concert review recap

Korean rapper and singer-songwriter Kim Hanbin, also known as B.I, made his return to the Philippines on August 30 for his The Last Parade tour stop at the SM North EDSA Skydome. It was his second visit this year, following his appearance at the Waterbomb Festival in February, and this time the stage was all his.

Rain poured heavily that evening and the concert started an hour late, but the energy inside never dimmed. Fans were ready with their lightsticks and cheers, and the moment Kim Hanbin stepped onto the stage, the wait felt worth it.

He opened with “Parade” from his newest album, Wonderland, wearing a dark navy jacket that shimmered under the lights. The venue erupted as he followed with “Cosmos” and “Free Fall”. Hearing fans’ voices sing back the lyrics made the venue feel small and intimate, like he was performing for each fan individually.

“I missed you guys so much,” he told the audience warmly. “It really rained a lot tonight. Let’s have fun, overcoming the rain.” Hearing that felt like a reminder that he knows the effort his Filipino fans put into seeing him.

B.I’s setlist felt like a love letter to his fans — a journey through his artistry that moved seamlessly from soulful ballads to high-energy anthems. “illa illa” and “Endless Summer” tugged at the heart, while “Lover Boi,” “BTBT,” and “Keep Me Up” had the crowd on their feet, once again proving that his charisma on stage is unmatched. Each performance was elevated by his flawless synchronization with the dancers, whom he proudly spotlighted throughout the night by giving them solo moments.

He reminisced, “I didn’t forget the energy you showed during the Hype Up tour last year,” before moving into “Lover” and deeper cuts from To Die For such as “The Island of Misfit Toys”, “Die for Love”, and “Beautiful Life.” The atmosphere shifted between euphoria and intimacy, every note connecting with fans who sang along word for word.

The energy hit another level when rapper Coogie came out to perform Buzzin’ with him. Their chemistry brought even more excitement, and when Coogie later performed solo, the crowd welcomed him just as warmly. B.I returned immediately and kept the momentum going with a blend of new and old tracks, including “Ferris Wheel,” “Hug Me,” and “Tasty”.

He also sang “Dare to Love,” “Flame,” and “Illusion,” which had every PH ID on the edge of their seats. The genius songwriter continued to show off his groove with “GRAY,” “LOVER,” “TASTY,” “TTM,” and “Got It Like That,” then performed “BE I” and “One and Only,” his solo track from iKON’s second studio album, Return.

B.I has long been known as a king of fan service as he climbed barricades, reached out to fans, and even sang “Remember Me”, “Nineteen,” and “4 Letters” from within the crowd making sure no fan felt far away. His connection with IDs was intimate and genuine, every smile and gesture proving how much he treasures them.

Fans gave back with touching projects — banners, confetti showers, and a heartfelt video montage from past shows. At one point, B.I looked visibly moved, thanking the audience: “Your energy is overflowing, so it makes me want to push harder. ”

The show ended with Cosmos and a promise to return. “I just want to say, thank you for coming to my show. And I want to say that I will be back. Definitely I’m going to miss you guys so much. I already know that you guys won’t forget me but please don’t forget me.”
