Bakuran is like a private haven for your family, a home away from home, located just two hours from Manila. It’s a spot you’ll want to return to again and again. While we are all under the grip of the pandemic, take advantage of the solitude and feel protected.

During the epidemic, Doa Remedios Trinidad (commonly known as DRT) became a new favorite resort for Bulakenyos and people of adjacent cities and regions. It used to be the least visited municipality, but it is now known for its spectacular mountain views and magnificent rivers and waterfalls.

Bakuran is a great place to visit if you want to take your kids and parents to DRT. To get here, there are no hard roads to navigate and no hiking required. Others may believe that all accommodations in DRT need tent pitching or that getting there requires a 4×4. Bakuran is distinct in that it is a family-oriented restaurant. You can get here in a tiny automobile. Perfect if you merely want to try DRT and need a nice location to relax and get away from the city’s noise and pollution. Despite being only a short walk (550m) from the public market, the location feels distant.

They have three modern compact dwellings with various sleek interiors that they affectionately named Balai Ate, Balai Kuya, and Balai Bunso after their children. They offer an outdoor pool that will make you feel like you’re in the middle of nature. Feel the cool mountain breeze on your face while listening to the birds sing.

Guests can eat outside on the picnic table or inside their cabin but the kitchen is placed outside the cabin. Each cabin has a fridge, microwave, stove, basic utensils and BBQ set. They also have three separate garbage disposals.

Each cabin is allowed to have one pet in the cabin but they should avoid them from causing any damage in the cabin. Each cabin is unique on its own.

Guests can also go for a campfire experience or night swimming which lasts until 11pm. It can tend to be windy at night so don’t forget your towels.

Unfortunately there is no WiFi at Bakuran but the mobile signals are quite good especially if you’re a SMART or GLOBE user.

CABINS:

-Balai Kuya: is a slightly bigger cabin for a big group of friends or family. It has a sofa, bed, sink and bathroom as well.
-Balai Ate: is an A shaped cabin and one of the most popular cabins at Bakuran. It’s minimalistic and has its own two beds, table, a sink and. bathroom. Guests can take great photos inside and out.
-Balai Bunso: This has to be the second most IG-worthy cabin. It has a two beds, sink, and bathroom. The advantage of this cabin is that’s it closer to the kitchen,

AMENITIES :

  • Unrestricted access to the kitchen (within a specified area), which includes a stove, microwave oven, refrigerator, sink, dishes, and utensils.
