Chen Opens New Doors with Manila Soondingies and EXO-Ls at the Last Stop of His Beyond the Door FanCon

Chen, EXO’s vocal gem, made an unforgettable final stop in Manila for his Beyond the Door FanCon, leaving fans with a night filled with joy, laughter, and heartfelt moments. The evening was a testament to the strong bond between Chen and his fans, proving that the doors of their connection will never close. 

A World Beyond with “Empty” 

Chen began the night with the title track of his fourth album, “Empty.” As he sang the hauntingly beautiful ballad, he shared why it became the album’s title track, saying, “Without you, I cannot do anything. This became the opening to our world.” The song set the tone for an evening that was both intimate and awe-inspiring. 

In his opening ment, Chen’s warmth shone through as he greeted his fans with sincerity:  “You’re still the same as I last saw you – passionate, energetic, cute! Even if this is the last stop, I hope we don’t have any regrets and enjoy tonight. Don’t mind other people and sing as much as you can. Don’t look anywhere else but me.”

The “CHENlleges” Bring Laughter and Charm

 A fun highlight of the night was the “CHENlleges,” where Chen had to guess lyrics from EXO group, sub-unit, and solo songs. The twist? He hilariously failed to guess each one! Fans burst into laughter as he donned penalty costumes, including a French fries outfit and an adorable squirrel costume. 

The songs included EXO-CBX’s “Rhythm After Summer,” Baekhyun’s “Amusement Park” and “Pineapple Slice,” Chen’s own “Reminisce,” Xiumin’s “You Are the One,” and EXO’s “Playboy” and “Artificial Love.” Despite his playful struggles, the segment showcased his endearing personality and strengthened his connection with fans. 

An Evening Illuminated by Music and Memories

As Chen performed his hits like “Beautiful Goodbye,” “Hold You Tight,” and “Starlight,” the venue transformed into a magical haven. The theater glowed with fans holding light-wrapped dandelions, a beautiful gesture that perfectly complemented Chen’s heavenly vocals. During “Starlight,” the audience’s twinkling lights created a galaxy-like atmosphere, symbolizing their unwavering support. 

Chen made the evening even more special with a heartfelt performance of “Love You,” a song he wrote to express his gratitude and love for his fans. His genuine emotions were palpable, creating an unforgettable moment for everyone present. 

Heartfelt Goodbyes and a Touching Encore

As the night drew to a close, Chen delivered a touching closing ment, saying: 

“In order for me to shine on stage, you guys really are the sunshine that makes me shine brighter. I’m not someone who lights up the stage, but I receive the light you send to me, which makes me shine brighter. You guys were really the best for being the last stop.”

Just when fans thought the evening couldn’t get any better, they surprised Chen with a rendition of his famous OST, “Everytime.” Overwhelmed with joy, Chen joined them for an encore, singing the song together in harmony. The night ended with a powerful performance of “Best Luck,” leaving fans singing and cheering along.
