The iKONICs point out that similar issues have been resolved promptly in the past. For instance, when HYBE’s idol ILLIT faced a similar issue with NMIXX and BLACKPINK’s Lisa, the company acted quickly to rectify the situation. Furthermore, Geffen Records recently apologized for discriminatory remarks made towards BTS member Jimin, indicating their capability to address such matters.

Despite the ongoing protests and efforts to raise awareness, the fandom feel that the issue has not gained enough traction within the broader K-pop community.
