what is BNS Culture

During the pandemic, people sought to find things that could entertain them. For K-POP fans, buying merchandise, especially photocards, was one of them. The craze of K-POP BNS during the pandemic has created a lot of memories, friendships, and hot topics.

The popularity of K-POP Buy N’ Sell (BNS) on Twitter (now known as X) was insane. It gave way for many people to connect with other fans through purchasing, selling, and trading photocards.

Collecting photocards became the hobby of many during the times when fans were just at home. It became a coping mechanism since people could not go out for fan gatherings, there were no concerts to attend.

But nowadays, is it still that popular? Or is it already “lubog”

These days, people are still posting their “WTS” (want to sell) and “WTB” (want to buy) postings of photocards, yet not as much as before. Maybe because concerts are back and fans are saving money for it!

Recently, people in K-POP BNS have been into other things. People started creating keyrings, photocard holders, dolls, postcards, and cheering kits. Fans call it their “anik-aniks.” These items showcase fan’s creativity and love for their idols. Fans often bring these “anik-aniks” to concerts, fan gatherings, cup sleeve events, or even in their daily lives at work and school.

This somehow shows how K-POP BNS evolves over time and how people manage to keep them alive.
