Netflix Live Action Series One Piece Premieres this August
In honor of ONE PIECE Day, Netflix has released the official trailer for the highly anticipated live-action series ONE PIECE, along with new images and a letter from Eiichiro Oda, the creator of the global phenomenon.
The August 31 premiere of ONE PIECE, a legendary high-seas adventure starring Iaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji, will be exclusive to Netflix.
Oda-Sensei discussed the live-action adaptation, production, manga-to-film adaptation changes, and the cast and personnel.

Based on Eiichiro Oda’s manga series with the highest manga sales in Japanese history, ONE PIECE is a legendary high-seas adventure. Monkey D. Luffy is a youthful adventurer who has always desired a life of independence. Luffy embarks on a perilous journey from his small village to locate the legendary treasure, ONE PIECE, to become the Pirate King! To find the ultimate prize, however, Luffy will need to assemble the crew he’s always desired, find a ship to sail it on, explore every inch of the vast blue seas, outrun the Marines, and outsmart dangerous adversaries at every turn.
