Netflix The Night Agent Accepts Its Next Mission: Season 2

The Night Agent is renewed for a second season of 10 episodes on Netflix. The Sony Pictures Television Studios-produced series debuted on March 23, 2023, and promptly reached Netflix’s Top 10. The series debuted at number one on the English TV List with 168.71 million hours viewed, making it this week’s most-watched program. In 93 countries, the action-thriller ranked among the top 10 most-watched television programs in its premiere week.

Creator, Showrunner, and Executive Producer: Shawn Ryan (The Shield, S.W.A.T. ), in collaboration with MiddKid Productions.

Marney Hochman of MiddKid Productions, Seth Gordon and Julia Gunn of Exhibit A, Jamie Vanderbilt, William Sherak, Paul Neinstein, and Nicole Tossou of Project X, and David Beaubaire of Sunset Lane Media also served as Executive Producers for the first season.

Season 1 Logline: Based on Matthew Quirk’s novel, The Night Agent is a complex, character-driven action-thriller about a low-level FBI agent who works in the White House basement, guarding a phone that never rings — until the night it does, thrusting him into a fast-paced and hazardous plot that eventually leads all the way to the Oval Office.
