Filipino OhOhs spent a spooky night with Thai BL (Boys Love) duo Keng Harit Buayoi and Namping Napatsakorn Pingmuang, also known as KengNamping, on October 18 at UP Theater in Quezon City for their first-ever fan meeting in the Philippines.

The two gained popularity with their horror-romance drama Khemjira, which means “forever safe” or “always secure,” in which Namping played Khemjira, a 20-year-old born into a cursed family where every male descendant dies before reaching 21. He then sought help from Keng, who portrayed a powerful shaman named Pharan.

Their on-screen chemistry gained them dedicated supporters called OhOhs. Prior to their series, the pair was formed when they won in the 2024 reality show DMD Friendship: The Reality, which was produced by their talent agency Domundi TV (DMD).

Night full of surprises

KengNamping kicked off the event by serenading their fans with Khemjira’s OST “Never Apart,” filling the venue with cheers and high energy. The Thai actors even introduced themselves in Filipino, fluttering the hearts of the OhOhs.

“Kuhang kuha niyo ako, Manila,” said Namping, appreciating the fans’ warm welcome. Meanwhile, Keng shared that the country is very memorable for them. They felt like their fan meeting was really a big event because of the love and support they received.

Showing off their talents, the duo danced to the famous Filipino song “Oohh Lala Baby” by Baby Dolls, making the audience laugh and be amused. Keng even joked that his dancing skills are a perfect 10, while Namping said his is only 2.

The fans reminisced about the beauty of Khemjira as KengNamping sang its OSTs “Mantra” and “What If” in their solo performances. They also shared that filming their drama was scary for them as well, as they are afraid of ghosts.

To make the night even more memorable, the BL stars played different games with lucky OhOhs on the stage, including Zombie Freeze, Spooky Charades, and Hep Hep Hooray with a twist. The winners got to take home KengNamping signed polaroids.

Wanting to hear about Philippine folklore as well, the two were tasked with drawing Filipino mythological creatures, such as Manananggal and Tikbalang, based only on the descriptions given by the host. The results made the audience chuckle.

Kismet moments

The OhOhs surprised their idols with a fan project, which included a video, bouquets, and a cake. They described KengNamping’s meeting as “Kismet,” meaning fate or destiny. The two then thanked their fans and promised to come back again soon.
