The American pop-punk band is getting ready to return to the Asian live music scene. They just won the Alternative Song of the Year award at the 2022 iHeartRadio Music Awards for “Monsters,” their highest-charting single with Blackbear. Fans in the Philippines are in for a treat, because the Philippines will be the band’s only Southeast Asian stop besides the Summer Sonic Festival in Japan.

With almost 20 years and eight studio albums under their belts, fans can only hope that the setlist for their long-awaited show back in Manila will be the best of the best. First of all, Filipino fans have yet to hear live a lot of songs from their 15-track album Wake Up, Sunshine, which comes out in April 2020. This includes their other new singles “Once in a Lifetime” and “PMA” (Postmodern Anxiety), which features Pale Wales.

Chicosci, a Filipino rock band best known for hits like “Chicosci Social Vampire Social Club,” “Diamond Shotgun,” and “Paris,” will play before this important show. The band has been in the business for 26 years. During that time, it has won several awards and become a well-known name in Filipino rock music. The fact that they couldn’t play live for two years because of the pandemic only made them more excited to play “Daylight” and “Revalation!” in front of their fans again.
