BELFRY CAFE INTRAMUROS: The First Bell Cafe In the Philippines!

If you’re looking for a new coffee joint around Manila then look no further! You just need to visit Intramuros Manila then head to the coffee joint at the BELFRY CAFE AT THE MANILA CATHEDRAL. You’ll have a unique coffee experience by sipping coffee under the church bells!

The cafe was actually an old Belfry church tower. It was originally converted to a souvenir shop then finally to a coffee shop. Everything about the bell tower is still roughly the same from its exterior along with the interior.
BELFRY CAFE INTRAMUROS
There are seats and tables under the church bells. They weigh around 17 tonnes but not to worry! It will drop on you while you’re eating your cake or sipping on your coffee.
It houses the Seven Big Bells which were taken down from the adjacent Bell Tower Belfy to deload it of more than 17 tons weight as a safety measure. The Seven Big Bells were foundered by Friedrich Wilhelm Schilling, one of the best bell-founders in Germany after World War 2. The largest of the Seven Big Bells was discovered recently to be larger than the Pan-ay bell long considered as the biggest in the Philippines.
They have all types of coffee, tea and frappes! We highly recommend the chocolate and caramel drink.
There are plenty of cakes and pastries. We highly recommend the chocolate cake and the garlic cream cheese. It’s so addictive!
The cafe is also pet friendly! They have indoor and outdoor seating
They also have have restroom in the cathedral. Just ask for bathroom stub!

Belfry Cafe is also a perfect place for churchgoers, since it’s located beside the Manila Cathedral

Belfry cafe is a nice place to chill and enjoy. I like its interior design, the bells from the cathedral complement perfectly with the vibe of the cafe. I love those foods and drinks as well.
