VEDO has collaborated with R&B superstar Chris Brown to release one of the year’s biggest R&B singles. Do You Mind is the 2nd single from the Platinum R&B Singer-upcoming Songwriter’s sixth studio album, Mood Swings, due out on January 13th. Produced by Spiff Sinatra (Drake, Cordae, 21 Savage, Future, Latto) & Hero the Producer (Dreamville, Tee Grizzley), the catchy bouncy record has already attracted the attention of dancers who have been producing choreography to the fun and flirtatious track since its midnight release.
Consider “Do You Mind?” with Chris Brown.
The rise of VEDO over the past few years has been undeniable and momentous, finally leading to this moment. When asked how this collaboration came about, he explains, “Do You Mind was written some time ago and is only now being released. I was able to get the collaboration because I was persistent. On multiple times, I had requested CB to perform a verse on a song, and his response was, “I don’t think it’s the right moment.” In order to prevent the song from becoming a “Chris Brown feat. VEDO” record, he wanted me to continue establishing my presence. I had to honor that.”
The R&B combo is no stranger to co-writing hits; VEDO contributed to Chris’ recent Grammy nomination for “Warm Embrace” on Breezy. VEDO also contributed to Freaky Friday and a handful of songs by Usher, Ella Mai, Ari Lennox, and others.
VEDO’s contribution to the R&B Charts are clear, with credits like Usher and Ella Mai’s “Don’t Waste My Time,” and Chris Brown’s “Warm Embrace,” & his own double-platinum smash “You Got It.” Fans who have followed his career from ABC’s The Voice to his viral Tiny Desk performance with longtime mentor Usher are eager to see him establish himself in the R&B scene. With the release of this powerful collaboration, fans are excited to hear the new album more than before.
Preserve “Emotional Swings”
Regarding what fans can anticipate from Mood Swings, VEDO warns them to prepare for a roller coaster of emotions spanning from Love to Passion, Vulnerability, and Growth, among others. This is perhaps the most adaptable project I’ve ever undertaken. VEDO predicts that 2023 will be a banner year, with “more trophies, more certifications, more Grammy nominations, and more wins.”
