ENHYPEN Connects with Engenes in their ‘FATE Plus’ World Tour in Seoul

K-pop group ENHYPEN kicked off their “Fate Plus” world tour in Seoul at the KSPO Dome. Across three consecutive sold-out shows, marked a triumphant return for the group, drawing thousands of fans from all corners of the globe.

The “Fate Plus” tour, which also thrilled audiences via a live stream on the Weverse app, treated fans to a mesmerizing showcase of ENHYPEN’s musical talent, featuring a revamped setlist and special segments tailored exclusively for ENGENEs.

The concert opened with an explosive performance of fan-favorite hits including “Drunk-Dazed,” “Blockbuster,” “Let Me In (20 CUBE),” “Flicker,” and “Fever”.

“It’s already our 3rd and final day in Seoul. Please get ready to pour out all of your energy. Are you ready?” Jungwon said as ENHYPEN greeted the audience. 

“You know that ENGENE and ENHYPEN are connected. We are always connected so after going around on the tour, we made a lot of progress and growth” added Jake.

ENHYPEN performed “Still Monster,” for the first time at the Fate+ tour. The group seamlessly transitioned to “Future Perfect (Pass the MIC),” “Blessed-Cursed,” “Attention, please!,” “ParadoXXX Invasion,” and “Tamed-Dashed,” captivating the audience with their dynamic stage presence.

During the special stages, Ni-ki showcased his performance of “I LOVE YOU 3000” by Stephanie Poetri, accompanied by Jay on the guitar. Ni-ki explained his selection of this song, expressing his affection for its heartfelt lyrics and dedicating it for ENGENEs that he cherished. He then humorously remarked that while he prefers Spiderman, he sees himself as fulfilling the role of Iron Man in protecting ENGENEs.

Jay also performed a cover of “Bruises” and said “I chose this song because I wanted to explore something different.” He elaborated on the emotional resonance of the lyrics, expressing, “The line ‘where you are not there, everything I do is like an empty street’ really resonated with me.”

Jay further revealed his subtle observance of ENGENEs’ activities, humorously remarking, “Even though I don’t say it bluntly, I’m always keeping an eye on what ENGENEs are up to.” He playfully added, “I like to think of it as ‘spying on ENGENEs’—we need some distance, but I love keeping up with ENGENEs’ timeline.” Jay emphasized the significance of ENGENEs in his life, revealing, “If I don’t have ENGNEs in a day, that makes my day empty, that’s why I chose this song.”

Jake performed “Foreshadow” for the first time, captivating the audience with his performance. He revealed his desire to offer ENGENEs something unique, stating, “The vibes were really perfect. We were supposed to cover it as a group, but since the cover song will come out soon, I wanted to try something different.” He expressed his fondness for the song, adding, “I really liked the song ‘Foreshadow’ for a long time, and I thought ENGENEs were anticipating it, so I chose it.” Reflecting on the experience, Jake admitted that singing the first verse gave him chills, expressing gratitude to the audience, “Thank you for listening,” he added warmly.

Admitting to feeling nervous until the last moment, he shared, “I had a lot I wanted to say. The notice went out on the first day, and I was quite nervous until last night because I thought I would need to give my everything until the end.” However, as the morning dawned, Jay found himself feeling more at ease and determined to give his best without any regrets.

Despite lingering nervousness, Jay acknowledged the significance of being on stage with ENGENEs, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to share special moments with them. He reflected on their journey together, from challenging trainee years to the present, emphasizing, “All those tough years as a trainee, this is the reply to all of that. That’s how much I am grateful to you always.”

Looking ahead, Jay affirmed his commitment to continuous growth, both as part of ENHYPEN and as an individual. He extended his thanks to his family, fellow members, and ENGENEs, promising to work tirelessly to deliver more artistic performances and albums in the future.

Sunoo shared a touching moment from the previous day. Recalling his emotional response, he revealed, “Yesterday, I think I did well. My mom asked me why I cried, but I saw her tearing up, and after seeing that, I thought my mom is thinking the same as I am.”

Meanwhile, Sunghoon opened up about his unexpected emotions, expressing deep sadness and apologizing for his tears. He confessed that crying was unusual for him and reflected on the struggles he faced throughout the tour, admitting to difficulties he hadn’t realized until now. Sunghoon found some relief in releasing pent-up emotions but also felt embarrassed by the display.

Despite the tears, Sunghoon found solace in the happiness they brought, acknowledging the role ENGENEs play in his life and their unique ability to evoke such strong emotions from him. Contrary to his perceived stiffness by some, Sunghoon revealed his genuine affection for ENGENEs, expressing how their support brings him happiness even in his daily life.

On the final day of their Fate Plus concert in Seoul, ENHYPEN wrapped up their performance with a series of encore songs, including “Go Big or Go Home,” “Bite Me,” “Sweet Venom,” “Karma” and “Orange Flower (You Complete Me).” 

Looking ahead, ENHYPEN announced the dates for their US leg of the “Fate Plus” tour, which is scheduled to kick off in April at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, and continue across major cities including Oakland, Tacoma, Chicago, and Belmont Park.
