EPIK HIGH Is Here: Asia Pacific Tour 2022 – Live In Manila
Enter the alluring world of South Korean alternative hip hop veterans EPIK HIGH by putting on “Champagne.” CK Star Entertainment is proud to present and announce their Asia Pacific Tour 2022 – Chapter 2 in Manila, Kuala Lumpur, and Taipei as the first KPOP act to tour APAC since the pandemic. After selling out performances in Singapore, Melbourne, Sydney, Bangkok, and Jakarta, EPIK HIGH shows no signs of slowing down.
Manila has the good fortune of being the first Southeast Asian stop on the Asia-Pacific leg of Chapter 2’s tour. This is cause for celebration among the city’s fans. On Wednesday, November 30, 2022, EPIK HIGH Is Here – Manila will be performed at New Frontier Theater for one night only.
This new tour is the group’s second concert in Manila and coincides with the release of their highly anticipated 10th studio album in two parts, ‘EPIK HIGH is Here (Part 1)’ & ‘EPIK HIGH Is Here 2’.
It was intentional to split the album into two parts, similar to how traditional Korean novels were released in two parts, allowing the listener time to process the previous portion before listening to the next. According to a recent interview with RollingStone magazine, the message behind this album is that EPIK HIGH is here even when you don’t believe it.
One is receptive to listening. This album contains the wisdom that can only come from 20 years of lows and pretty epic highs.
Fans of EPIK HIGH – High Skool will discover that the group’s independence has not diminished their ability to create the experimental and provocative music that everyone has come to adore. Expect to be moved by the evocative hip-hop track “Born Hater” or the universally adored hit “Happen Ending,” and it will be difficult to refrain from singing along to the classic chart-topper “Fly.” In addition to the forever-young-at-heart man band’s characteristically playful antics, fans are assured of a night unlike any other.
EPIK HIGH
EPIK HIGH, a pioneering group composed of Tablo, Mithra Jin, and DJ Tukutz, debuted in 2003. Their unique blend of hip-hop and incisive lyrics, which openly discuss topics such as mental health and social issues, propelled them to the forefront of Korean music. In 2016, they were the first Korean act to ever perform at Coachella.
During their two decades together, they released hundreds of anthemic songs, inspired artists such as BTS, and were the first Korean act to ever perform at Coachella. Tickets start at PHP 5,900 and will be available at www.ticketnet.com.ph beginning at 12pm on 28 October 2022.
