JOLLIBEE Opens Singapore’s First Cloud Kitchen

The Jollibee Group opened its first cloud kitchen for its Jollibee brand in Singapore today, August 10, 2020, in response to evolving customer needs in a changing business climate. Cloud kitchens are unmarked food manufacturing and delivery hubs that do not have a dine-in facility and are located in low-rent metropolitan areas.

Jollibee Singapore’s first cloud kitchen opens as the company’s food delivery service continues to expand in popularity. Jollibee Singapore’s Delivery has more than doubled its business contribution since last year, rising from 10% in 2019 to 45 percent in 2020. “As cloud kitchens become more widely available, we will be able to reach a larger number of customers and fulfill more requests. “Through this unique shop concept, the Jollibee Group is able to expand more swiftly and cost-effectively while maintaining the same food safety and quality standards,” said Ernesto Tanmantiong, Chief Executive Officer of the Jollibee Group.

The cloud kitchen in Singapore is the Jollibee Group’s third cloud kitchen to open, with more on the way. Cloud kitchens are part of the Jollibee Group’s overall transformation plan, which aims to adapt to new customer patterns and satisfy the pandemic’s sustained high demand for delivery. Last March, the Jollibee Group established its first cloud kitchen in the United Arab Emirates, which continues to beat expectations. Its recently built cloud kitchen in Chicago’s bustling River North area was similarly well-received in the United States. Tampines is a residential neighbourhood in the Tanah Merah district of Singapore’s East Region.

From 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., the Jollibee cloud kitchen in Singapore is open.
