iKON Wraps Up ‘Limited Tour – Get Back’ in Manila with iKONIC Memories

Kpop boy group iKON returned to the Philippines after seven months as they brought their “Limited Tour – Get Back” concert in Manila at the Araneta Coliseum on Sunday night, April 7, 2024. The fans welcomed the boys and showed them how much they had been waiting for them by giving their unwavering energy and passionate cheers throughout the show.

iKON went all out for their last group concert in Manila before their military enlistment, transforming a sea of red konbat ‘konfire’- waving fans into one big party scene. Wearing captivating silvery clothes, they kicked off the night with the pulse-pounding beats of “Tantara,” followed by the remix of “SINOSIJAK”.

iKON members Bobby, Song, DK, Ju-Ne, and Chanwoo warmly greeted their crowd. “Long time no see, Manila!”. Ju-Ne said, prompting cheers that echoed like thunder. “Let’s have fun tonight”, Song added.

“Thank you so much for coming tonight. You know this is our last stop here, so let’s have good memories“, Bobby stated.

The boy group performed in the Philippines during their “Continue” solo tour in 2018, and later headlined the “K-pop Masterz Ep. 2 in Manila” event in 2022. Returning to the same venue in Manila last August 2023, they held their Take off concert, marking another memorable performance in the city.

The South Korean boyband brought their A-game and showed the crowd they’re the real deal, delivering their gritty hip-hop dance tracks of “At Ease,” “KILLING ME,” “RHTYHM TA” and “BLING BLING,” capturing the crowd’s hearts from the get-go.

They continued to perform with the heartfelt melodies of “Love Scenario,” followed by the dynamic vibes of “U” swept the crowd into an adrenaline-fueled dance frenzy.

Learned Tagalog Words and Solo Stages

During Bobby and Chan segment, a lucky fan taught chanwoo how to say, “Wait for Donghyuk” in Tagalog.

iKON members also treated the audience to solo performances showcasing their unique charms and talents. DK performed his solo tracks “LTNS” and “GROOVIN”, where the fans raised up their flashlight for him.

Followed by Ju-Ne’s powerful vocals shone through “Want You Back.” Meanwhile, Song showcased his witty side as he performed the trot song “It’s call”

Heart-Pumping Performances

iKON, known for their catchy melodies and energetic performances, didn’t disappoint the audiences as they serenaded the fans with their softer tracks such as “Like a Movie” and “Goodbye Road.” They also performed “T.T.M” for the first-time live in Manila.

The boys bring the energy back again with their hit songs, “What’s Wrong?,” “Dumb and Dumber,” “B-Day” and “Freedom,” fueling the crowd’s energy. Everyone is singing, jumping and partying like there’s no tomorrow.

The iKONIC love for iKON

After the VCR, the fans brought out their banners as part of the fan project organized by the local fanbase. iKON returned onstage with a performance of “Panorama” constantly showing off their energy.

During the group photo, a fan-made VCR was played on screen, showing iKONICs from the Philippines and other countries expressing their love for iKON. They even created a song for the members,“It feels really good, I’m trying to hold my tears right now. Thank you so much guys” Yunhyeong shared. The boys expressed that they are grateful for the song they self-produced.

As the members took the stage, emotions ran high as they expressed their gratitude to the fans. Ju-Ne, visibly moved by the overwhelming support, thanked the fans for their passionate cheers and unwavering love from the Filipino fans. “Thank you so much for your biggest cheers and loudest passion for us. It’s been a while since we came to Manila but every time we visit here we actually can really heal because of your passion and big love. Please wait for us with your passionate love. Thank you, guys!” 

He shared his appreciation for the birthday serenade they bestowed upon him. “I’m very lucky to have you guys. I love you,” he stated.

Bobby, with a hint of sadness in his voice, “The day that I’ll go to the military has been released. Thinking about it, I’m returning around next year in November. If you guys just wait for me, I’ll come back, okay? I’ll try my best to remember this night.” he reassured fans of his return and promised to cherish the memories made that night.

Similarly, the other members, including Song, Chanwoo, and DK, expressed their gratitude to the fans for the unforgettable night and promised to return with even better performances in the future, despite their upcoming hiatus due to military service.

Song: “iKONICs thank you so much for having a wonderful time with us. You know there’ll be a short moment of time where we could not actually comeback here, but we’ll make sure to back as a whole okay. We’ll be back with a better performance so expect from us okay, and also I’ll do my best on military service.”

Chanwoo: “Thank you so much for making this beautiful time for us. I’ll try to take ample rest after before going to the military. We’ll make sure to come back next year. So pls wait for us okay. We love you guys so much thank you “

DK: “Thank you all so much for coming. We’ll surely comeback as a whole as iKON also our solo album so please expect from us thank you”

Nearing the end of the show, the heartfelt encore quickly switched into a full-blown party. iKON performed once again the fan-favorite and legendary “Love Scenario.” They took the show to the next level by performing “RHYTHM TA” to the energetic crowd, solidifying how the concert truly is a night to remember for iKONICs.

The fans’ undying cheers did not go to waste as iKON added another song to the encore as an appreciation for the highly-spirited crowd,”You know iKONIC we got nothing but you” , Bobby stated as they performed “BUT YOU” to their loyal fans.

The night concluded with an explosive performance of “Tantara,” leaving fans jumping and chanting for more. Both iKON and the audience pouring every ounce of energy into the final moments.

Throughout the concert, iKON proved why they are ultimate concert performers, delivering exceptional stage presence and fan service. The overwhelming enthusiasm of the Filipino iKONICs only added to the electrifying atmosphere, making it a night to remember for the concertgoers.

Emotions ran high as fans bid farewell to iKON before their enlistment. Yet, amidst the tears, there was a sense of anticipation for their return, knowing that the bond between iKON and iKONICs would only grow stronger with time.

With promises of future performances and unwavering love from their fans, iKON left Manila with hearts full of gratitude and memories that would last a lifetime. Until their next “SHOWTIME,” iKONICs will eagerly await the return of the group, knowing that their bond transcends any distance or time apart.
