“We hope to fly more Juans, both in the Philippines and in other countries. Many countries have made it easier to travel and removed the need for a negative COVID-19 test result. We think that the reopening of borders, along with CEB’s low fares and ongoing safety efforts, will increase travel between the Philippines and the Asia-Pacific regionsaid Candice Iyog, CEB’s Vice President for Marketing and Customer Experience.

Here are some places that are easy to get to and don’t cost as much to fly to with Cebu Pacific:

The airline also started a special seat sale to make it easier and cheaper for everyone to fly internationally. From August 22 to August 25, 2022, one-way base fares to top international destinations will start as low as PHP 599. Travel period is from October 1, 2022, to January 31, 2023

Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi, Vietnam

Vietnam is a popular choice for tourists looking for a unique cultural and culinary adventure in one of the cheapest places to visit. One can make this happen in a few different ways.

On the weekend, visitors to Ho Chi Minh can see the beautiful French architecture of Saigon, eat traditional Vietnamese food in District 1 (don’t forget the banh mi! ), go to museums, and do a lot more for less than $120 (about P6,000).

Hanoi, the capital city, can also be seen in a weekend. Tourists will find their way to small restaurants and bars in the Old Quarter and all over the city because the city is so big. They can also go to the Ho Chi Minh Museum and the Presidential Palace. All of this for less than $100 (around P5,000).

CEB has four flights a week between Manila and Ho Chi Minh and up to four flights a week between Manila and Hanoi.

Bali and Jakarta, Indonesia

Bali is on the list of every beach lover. Aside from its high-end beach resorts, the island is known for its lush landscapes, places to surf, and ancient temples. To get the most out of your money, book a tour package for as little as P2,000 to see Bali’s wildlife, cultural sites, and Ubud’s must-see places. Renting a private van for a small group trip is another inexpensive way to get around the island while you’re there.

Jakarta also has much to see and do right in the city. The National Museum is a great place to learn about Indonesia’s history and culture, and Central Jakarta is a great place to shop and try new foods. This capital city has everything you could want.

Currently, CEB has three flights a week from Manila to Bali and Jakarta. By September, there will be flights from Manila to Bali five times a week. By October 1, there will be flights seven times a week.

South Korea, Seoul

There are many places to visit in Seoul that won’t break the bank. The first thing they should do is check out the cheap, filling street food that is available for snacks and meals to get them through the day. There are also many cafes in the city that look good on Instagram and serve coffee and boba.

There are also a lot of museums with low entry fees, like the Leeum Samsung Museum of Art, which has a collection of traditional and modern Korean art ($9 or around P500 for the permanent exhibition), and the Seoul Museum of Art, which also has a collection of traditional and modern Korean art (free entry).

CEB has seven flights a week from Manila to Seoul and up to 7 flights a week from Cebu to Seoul.

CEB has two flights a day from Manila to Singapore. It has three flights a week from Cebu to Singapore.

Bangkok, Thailand

Bangkok is a busy city known for its lively street food scene, night markets, cultural sites, and growing art scene. Tourists can take day trips to local markets (the Floating Market is a must-see) and temples for around P1,500, depending on the package.
