Heads up samgyup fans as there is a new buffet in town! The Romantic is a new Korean restaurant located in BGC, Taguig City. Another venture from the popular “Romantic Baboy”; this new samgyup restaurant is different from your typical samgyup restaurants in the Philippines. With Live Seafood and (6) six zones with more than 100 kinds of buffet dishes for only Php 999!
The restaurant is located on the second floor which is opposite the “Romantic Baboy” restaurant. You can reach the restaurant by using either the stairs or the elevator. We highly recommend taking the stairs since there are some IG-Worthy graffiti on the wall. It’s something that you might want to add to your Instagram photo or story.
We absolutely loved the interior design of the restaurant. Instead of the usual modern Korean decor that we see in most Korean restaurants; the interior design in “The Romantic” is largely a Korean traditional design. From the walls all the way to the comfortable tables and couches. The restaurant is perfect for a large group of people but if you are looking for a little privacy; they have their own VIP room with each table that is good enough for (10) ten people. The VIP room also traditional Korean clothing is displayed on the walls.
Once you enter the buffet, customers will find a traditional Korean waterwheel. Displayed nearby, customers can also see traditional miniature Korean houses and flags. It sets the perfect traditional Korean vibe along with its Korean traditional music which can be heard in the background.
Social distancing is practiced here where guests are also required to wear masks and face shields when they are at the buffet. Each guest is also given plastic gloves to avoid germs on getting onto the buffet set.
The Romantic is quite a unique experience. since they offer live seafood which can be cooked either in a grill or shabu all for the price of Php 999 The buffet is divided into (6) six zones:

The Korean zone mostly has your favorite Korean noodles, kimchi, street food, dim sum, snowflakes, and many more!
International Zone:
This zone has many western cuisines such as pork, pizza, chicken, and many more!
Japanese Zone:
The Japanese zone has mainly sushi, rolls, and sashimi
Noodle Zone:
If you’re a noodle fan, every noodle can be found here!
Dessert Zone:
As the name suggests, different types of desserts including frozen Korean ice-cream
