ZEROBASEONE Timeless World Tour Manila 2024 concert recap

K-pop boy group ZEROBASEONE returned to the Philippines less than a year after attending the Asian Artist Awards, bringing their TIMELESS WORLD tour to the Mall of Asia Arena on October 12, 2024. The fans welcomed the boys and showed them how much they had been waiting for them by giving their unwavering energy and loud cheers throughout the show.

The nine-member group kicked off the concert with the powerful track “Solar Power”. Their synchronized moves, strong vocals, and intense stage presence instantly captured the crowd. Following with “Road Movie” and other hit tracks like “Take My Hand”, “Kill the Romeo,” and “CRUSH,” ZB1 proved they are masters at blending catchy tunes with jaw-dropping choreography.

ZEROBASEONE members Hanbin, Jiwoong, Zhang Hao, Matthew, Taerae, Ricky, Gyuvin, Gunwook, and Yujin warmly greeted the crowd. Ricky, who had missed last year Asian Artist Awards, expressed how thrilled he was to finally meet Filipino ZEROSEs in person, saying, “I was really sad that I couldn’t be here last time. So finally, I’m so excited.” Gyuvin added, “We are super happy and proud to be here for a solo concert.”

Dressed in casual jeans for a relaxed vibe as they performed their popular hits such as “INSOMNIA” and nostalgic debut song “In Bloom,” with lightsticks waving to the beat.

One of the most memorable moments was Zhanghao’s solo performance of “Always,” where he showcased his powerful vocals that left fans speechless. The unit performances were also a standout, with Ricky , Matthew, Gunwook, and Jiwoong delivering a visually stunning rendition of “Over Me,” incorporating red ribbons into their choreography. Hanbin, Gyuvin, Taerae, and Yujin followed with a dynamic performance of “Switch,” showcasing their versatility as artists.

Nostalgia hit hard when the group performed tracks from their Boys’ Planet days, “Say My Name,” and “Here I Am.” Reflecting on their journey, Matthew asked the members what had changed the most. Gunwook responded, “I’m more handsome now,” which drew laughter from the audience. He also mentioned how their growing chemistry as a group had elevated their performances, which was evident as they flawlessly delivered songs such as “Dear ECLIPSE,” “Hot Summer,” and “SWEAT.”

Throughout the night, ZB1 made sure to connect with every fan, performing fan-favorite tracks like “Kidz Zone” and “Feel the POP,” and getting the entire crowd on their feet for “GOOD SO BAD.” The crowd chants of “isa pa (one more time!)” kept the song alive in a loop, as if neither the crowd nor the boys wanted the moment to end.

As the night came to an end, fans weren’t ready to say goodbye. PH ZEROSEs also prepared a touching fan project, the arena lit up in a sea of white and blue as fans waved banners and sang along to Our Season, creating a breathtaking moment that captured the deep bond between ZEROBASEONE and their fans. It was a scene straight out of a dream, as timeless as the tour’s name suggests.

The boys returned to the stage wearing their TIMELESS WORLD tour shirt. The emotional encore featured the Korean version of “YURA YURA,” allowing the members to showcase their impressive vocal talents. ZB1 also had a special treat for their fans, performing a heartfelt cover of Maki’s “Dilaw” as a tribute to the Filipino crowd.
