It’ll take too long to list all of the fantastic songs and bands that have originated there, so we’ll get right to the good news: MAYDAY PARADE is returning to the Queen City of the South!

That’s right, Cebuanos are in for the ultimate treat on October 28, 2023, as the pop-punk/emo giants are scheduled to play all their greatest hits at the Sky Hall Seaside Cebu. This is undoubtedly the most eagerly anticipated event of the year, especially since singer Derek Sanders promised Cebuanos that they will return after their first successful show in 2019.

The fact that the band is fulfilling its promise this year is nothing short of astounding.

Sanders (lead vocals/piano), Alex Garcia (guitars), Brooks Betts (guitars), Jeremy Lenzo (bass), and Jake Bundrick (drums) are all alternative/emo legends who last played in Cebu in 2019 (at a show also produced by PULP LIVE WORLD) and left a lasting impression with a stellar performance fueled by hits like “Jamie All Over,” “Miserable at Best,” “Jersey,” ” The evening was magnificent, filled with cheers and singalongs to the band’s extensive discography of infectious singles.

They are eager to repeat the action.

Mayday Parade, a band formed in 2005 in Tallahassee, Florida, has always had an aptitude for blending catchy melodies, heartfelt lyrics, and massive, anthemic choruses. Their 2006 debut, Tales Told by Dead Friends, sold over 50k copies on its own, without the assistance of a label or any other outside party. With 7 full-length albums under their belt to date, the band distinguished themselves from their counterparts through nonstop touring and ferocious live performances that were both fiery and impressive.

The upcoming Cebu performance will mark their sixth trip to the nation.
