Merry Berry Love Brings a Sweet New Romance to Disney+ This October
Love blooms in an unexpected setting this October as Merry Berry Love lands on Disney+ Philippines on October 7.
Set on a picturesque Japanese island, the series follows Karin Shirahama, a dedicated farmer devoted to growing the finest strawberries around. Her quiet routine is upended when Lee Yubin, a city boy going through a rough patch, washes up on the island. Their first meeting is a comedy of errors, and a misunderstanding that follows ends up throwing the two together far more than either expected.

The series stars Korea’s Ji Changwook (The Manipulated, The Worst of Evil) as Space Planner Lee Yubin and Japan’s Mio Imada (Tokyo Revengers) as strawberry farmer Karin Shirahama. Merry Berry Love is helmed by directors Kim Soojung (Semantic Error) and Roh Youngsub (My Lovely Liar), written by Lee Jaeyoon (Divorce Insurance), and developed and produced by CJ ENM (Crash Landing on You, Queen of Tears) and Disney, with Nippon TV co-producing.
Merry Berry Love joins the growing slate of Asian series heading to Disney+. Viewers who love Korean romance can sign up for Disney+ now for instant access to a wide catalog of love stories, including Perfect Crown, which follows a Grand Prince who enters a marriage of convenience with the heir to a Korean conglomerate, and Soundtrack #1, centered on a struggling songwriter and her best friend of 19 years, along with many more titles.
