With the premiere of the suspenseful new Korean action series A Shop For Killers on January 17, 2024, Disney+ is off to an explosive start.

Jeong Jian, a college student in A Shop For Killers, is forced to seek refuge in her childhood residence when a succession of highly experienced assassins target her. The novel is set in contemporary Korea. Jian, contending for survival with all her strength, will begin to recall the invaluable lessons her uncle imparted to her before his apparent suicide, utilizing them to assist her in maintaining her existence. Jian, bewildered and cornered, must act swiftly to discover her uncle’s hidden history and determine why so many individuals are desperate to enter the home and discover the vast arsenal concealed within.

A Shop For Killers, helmed by Lee Dongwook (Tale of the Nine-Tailed, Guardian: The Lonely and Great God), features Kim Hyejun (Connect, Kingdom) as Jian, a college student evading the most lethal assassins on the planet. It is an adaptation of the wildly successful original novel by Kang Jiyoung, written by Ji Hojin and Lee Kwon and directed by Lee Kwon (Save Me 2, Door Lock).

A Shop For Killers is the most recent Korean Original series to be added to Disney+’s continuously expanding content library. Subscribers of Korean dramas can avail themselves of popular titles such as Big Bet, which stars the legendary actor Choi Minsik as a serial entrepreneur who consistently transgresses ethical boundaries to support his burgeoning casino enterprise, and The Worst of Evil, an indispensable crime drama set in 1990s Seoul that follows an undercover police office as they infiltrate one of the largest drug smuggling organizations in Asia.

A Shop For Killers, an eight-part series, will be available exclusively on Disney+ beginning January 17, 2024.
