Experience Daegu Chimac Festival 2022 in Korea
Daegu Chimac Festival is finally back after three years of hiatus! If you’re interested in Korea, this is undoubtedly a festival that you can’t miss during your summer trip!
This is the largest annual festival in Daegu, where you can enjoy a cold beer and delicious chicken and even enjoy live performances by K-pop singers, games and activities under the theme of Chimac. It is usually held at Duryu Park every July.
In honour of the city’s many Korean fried chicken franchises, such as Kyonchon and Mexicana. The Korean term for “beer,” maekju (), and the English word “chicken” combine to form the word “chimac.”
What To Expect:
People attending the festival can look forward to many exciting events, including music and cultural performances, exhibits, and activities. This year’s festival aims to be one of the most significant events in South Korea. It features performances by some of South Korea’s best artists, a collection of local and international beer brands, and, of course, fried chicken.
You can choose from the classic battered and deep-fried ones or ones that have been tossed in different sauces and spices. If you have a picnic blanket with you, you can find a nice place to sit. This is a popular place for couples to enjoy the festival vibes, drink a few beers, eat some food, and watch a concert while they’re at it. It takes place on a wide open field.
You don’t have to worry about bringing your own alcohol because there is a beer garden on site with several local and international labels on tap. If you’re going with your rave crew, this is the place to be. Party the night away with unlimited draft beer, fried chicken, and an array of performers only interested in ensuring you have a good time.
The chimac festival is open to people of all ages, but only those over 21 are allowed to drink beer, which is a big part of the festival.
