Learn more about the ladies behind R Rules:
“Through our songs, we wish to promote female empowerment,” the band explains. “Women can work hard and have a good time at the same time.” We want to show how we may be self-sufficient and content with our life. Also, we are pop, but more importantly, we will sound like our ambitions, visions, and anything else that inspires us.”
MCA Music Inc. was drawn to R Rules’ engaging story and unique vision, and the company backed them up as they began a new chapter in their musical career.
In a statement, Lloyd ‘Tiny’ Corpuz, Senior A&R Manager Pop Label – UMG Philippines says, “We found out about R Rules through my co-A&R Daddy A of Def Jam Philippines.” “He recommended the ladies to the crew, and we gladly accepted them because of their backstory.” They used to be a girl group with a different moniker. However, we wish to take a different approach by beginning from scratch. Every step of the journey, we want to be there to help them.”
Tiny also congratulated the trio for their devotion and hard work in pursuing their aspirations as musicians. “What they do has a sense of ownership and accountability.” They are brimming with enthusiasm, and I admire their underlying principles as a group and as individuals. They’re a lot of fun to work with, and each one has a unique narrative to tell.”
R Rules, for their part, are excited to be a part of MCA Music Inc.’s expanding pop music roster, which comprises some of the most well-known artists in the industry, from Zack Tabudlo to Darren Espanto.
“It’s been a rollercoaster trip for all of us,” the girl trio admits, “but we’re incredibly grateful to be a part of MCA.” “So far, we’ve enjoyed every bit of what the label has provided us, and working with the team has been such a godsend because of how they treat us.” They’ve already become like family to us.
The growing pop sensation will be releasing their official debut song under MCA Music Inc. very soon, so keep an eye out! You won’t miss a thing if you follow R Rules on social media.
