BTOB’s Changsub Captivates Manila Fans at the WayFarer in Manila
BTOB’s Lee Changsub rocked the stage with his powerful vocals and captivating charisma at his 1st Solo Concert, [The Wayfarer] in Manila on March 22, 2025 at the SM North Skydome.
As the show kicked off, Filo Melody cheered loudly with their Melobongs held high and shining bright making a slow blue ocean inside the venue.
Phenomenal Opening Stage
Changsub started the night with fierce back-to-back performances of ‘Chivalry’ and Golden Hour’. These songs perfectly highlighted his incredible singing skills and impressive dance moves.
The vocalist took time to greet his Filo Melody. “Kumusta kayo? Ako ay [si] Changsub Lee,” he greeted enthusiastically. He then expressed his gratitude by saying, “Salamat po sa suporta!” He also shared the meaning behind his tour name, ‘Wayfarer,’ explaining that he wanted to travel to different countries.
He kept the crowd amazed with theatrical performances of ‘Saturday Night’, ‘STAY’, and ‘OLD TOWN’.
Heartfelt Ballad Performances
Transitioning from groovy tracks, the singer took Filo Melody on an emotional ride with a heartfelt performance of ‘Vain Hope’ and ‘I Guess I Loved You’. You could hear the fans singing their hearts out alongside Changsub as he held the mic out to them, creating a beautiful harmony between the two.
Changsub kept the emotional vibe going with his cover of Roy Kim’s ‘Only Then’ and PSY’s ‘REFUGE’. He also sang ‘Heavenly Fate’, the OST for the webtoon A Not So Fairytale.
Party Time with Changsub!
After a series of heartfelt performances, it was time to jump and party with Changsub! The catchy beat of ‘BUMPBUMP’ had everyone on their feet, making it impossible not to dance along to the track. “Everybody, make some noise!” he screamed, moving all the way down the stage to get closer to the crowd. “You guys are really good at jumping!”, he said to his Filipino fans.
There was no time to rest as he dived into another upbeat song, ‘NEW WAVE’. The fanchants from Filo Melody were energetically loud!
The crowd chanted “Isa pa!” and “Hanbeon deo!” (한번 더), meaning “one more time” in Korean, prompting Changsub to perform ‘BUMPBUMP’ again, which made the crowd go wild!
Still catching his breath, Changsub took a moment to express his gratitude to the band and, once again, to the fans. Unexpectedly, the crowd began singing along to BTOB’s ‘Only One for Me’ as the keyboardist played the tune.
He ended this segment with a performance of ‘As always’ and ‘33’.
Encore Time & Fan Project
Lee Changsub serenaded the fans with his soulful track, ‘Macchiato’. “I really hope and wish that we will meet again very soon,” he said. “Thank you very much. I was really happy!” he added.
While posing for a photo with the crowd, Changsub was surprised by a video project that Filo Melody had prepared for him. The fans also threw paper planes with their messages onto the stage while singing his song, ‘Shelter’.
He ended his first solo concert in Manila with ‘#RUN’. With a big smile, he bowed to each side of the stage, expressing his heartfelt thanks to the fans before exiting the stage.
