Gyeongpoho Lake

Come to Gyeongpoho Lake in the spring when the cherry trees bloom and the shores are pink and white. Under a canopy of flower petals, you can ride a bike or walk around the lake. Couples must go there at all costs! The lake’s name, “Clear as a Mirror,” comes from how its surface shines and reflects light. Note, though, that you can’t fish in the lake because it is a protected natural area.

Gyeongpo Beach

Gyeongpo Beach is at the northern end of the basin. During summer, you can spend a day at the lake and enjoy the warm weather, or you can walk across the street to Gyeongpo Beach . Also, make sure to check out the sculptures. Some of them are a reminder of the 2018 Winter Olympics held in the area.

You can see migratory birds in a beautiful setting at Gyeongpoho Lake. This large lake is surrounded by dense forest. It has been essential to the history of the area both in the past and more. Walk along the narrow strip of land between the lake and the East Sea to see amazing views on both sides.

Gunjaho Lake

Gunjaho Lake is another name for this place. It was made when the bay’s sand and rocks closed off the basin from the sea next to it. Talk to locals to learn about the Hwarang warriors, who are said to have lived near the lake. A lot of things from prehistoric times have been found here.

Don’t forget to stop by the Gyeongpodae Pavilion at the end of the lake. The traditional wooden pavilion was built on a small hill next to the lake. It’s a great place to take some IG-Worthy photos and see the whole lake.
